Introducing "Camber Life" and updated to "gotyoursix"

After the bot brawl in PA, the 1lb'er sploded and the 3 lb, the one with 6 wheels, was getting pushed around. So without further a due, we now have a new 1 lb "what is camber" or "camber what"(still deciding on the name) and a revised "got your six".

The 1lb is nearly done, just waiting on the titanium for the wedge. Then I'm still mocking up the 3lb with the 3d printer. Oh and of course waiting for more parts in the mail. China is oh so far away...
Sadly motorama is full so I won't be able to test them there :(

Improved hop garden

So last year the hops were over growing the current setup. Time to invest and fix that. Now I'm going with the more professional approach, having the hops grow vertically instead of horizontal. When it comes time to pick the hops, just cut the vine, none of this pick them when there ready horse shit.

Started with 50 dollars in materials, a picture of what I wanted. And... after 2 days of digging we have a 4 foot hole. As you can see in the pics, the hop t stand was roped in a vertical position and cemented. It was only 5pm and pitch black out 😑. But I ain't gonna let no sun hold me back.

3d printed battlebot update

After a few weeks of fiddling with the 3d printer settings it is now printing decent quality prints. I started reprinting the battlebot parts to reduce weight. I cut the amount of plastic in each part by half. Hopefully it will be enough to fit in the 1lb class.

Now its printing the biggest print I have ever done. 6 in tall squirtle! Which will be used in the contest on pinshape.com

It was bound to happen

It's been a while since the last nerd blog. Have been busy traveling and enjoying the summer. But now back to building combat robots. Back to flying drones. Back to hopefully brewing another beer soon. And lastly buying a 3d printer.

I went with the monoprice maker select v2 printer which also goes by a few other brand names. Supposedly a cheap Chinese knockoff, but it works really well for $350. The Chinese actually copied something and didn't mess it up???

Still working out the kinks, but it works

Back to Beer Brewing

Now that the robot competition is over. Back to working on the beer stand. I'm at the point where I'm throwing it together real quick just so I can make some beer! Finished installing the screen panel to the cart and the temp sensors to the m12 cables.

Rig ready to brew beer with control panel tilted out.

Close up of back panel where I installed easy access HDMI and USB connections for RPI.

Made new temperature sensor cables.

That use the new M12 connectors
